1/2 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 beaten egg
1 cup sifted flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon soda
2 Tablespoons cream (can substitute milk)
1 1/2 cups sliced dates
1/3 cup chopped nuts
- Cream butter and sugar. Add egg. Beat well.
- Sift flour and dry ingredients. Add dry mixture alternately with creamed mixture. Blend well after each addition. Stir in dates and nuts.
- Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325* for approximately 15 minutes. Let cool. Store in tight container.
