Strawberry Pretzel Jello SaladCourse: DessertDifficulty: Easy, Tested
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 cups crushed pretzels
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, melted
1 – 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
1 envelope Dream Whip, prepared
1 – 6 ounce strawberry jello
2 cups heated pineapple juice
2 (10 ounce) metal containers frozen strawberries
- Mix pretzels, 1/2 cup sugar and melted butter. Press into 9″ x 13″ pan and bake at 300* for 10 minutes.
- Mix cream cheese, 1 cup sugar and Dream Whip and spread over cooled pretzel crust. Cover and refrigerate until cool.
- Dissolve jello in hot pineapple juice and add strawberries. Let set for 30 minutes. Carefully spoon gelatin topping over filling. Refrigerate 4 to 6 hours or until firm.
