2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs, beaten
1 can crushed pineapple, not drained
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- Icing
1- 8 ounce package cream cheese
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Mix all cake ingredients with a spoon. Bake in a greased and floured 9″ x 13″ pan at 350* for 35-45 minutes.
- Beat icing ingredients well while cake is baking.
- Remove cake from oven and apply icing immediately.
- Refrigerate 12 hours or overnight before serving.
