Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour

  • 2 cups sugar

  • 2 teaspoons baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 1 can crushed pineapple, not drained

  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

  • Icing
  • 1- 8 ounce package cream cheese

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened

  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  • Mix all cake ingredients with a spoon. Bake in a greased and floured 9″ x 13″ pan at 350* for 35-45 minutes.
  • Beat icing ingredients well while cake is baking.
  • Remove cake from oven and apply icing immediately.
  • Refrigerate 12 hours or overnight before serving.
