Fannie Farmer Chocolate Fudge

Ingredients

  • 1/4 pound butter

  • 4 ounce package of marshmallows (16 jumbo)

  • 2 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla

  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (9 ounces)

  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

  • 1/2 can (6.5 ounces) evaporated milk

Directions

  • In a large bowl, combine butter, vanilla, chocolate chips, marshmallows and nuts.
  • In a large saucepan, combine sugar and evaporated milk and bring to a boil. Boil for 8 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour over first mixture stirring until everything is dissolved. Pour in a greased pan(s) and let stand several hours or overnight until firm. Cut into squares and serve. Can be refrigerated.
