3 cups flour
1/4 cup plus 2 Tablespoons sugar
3/4 cup butter, softened
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups Karo Syrup
3 Tablespoons melted butter
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
2 1/2 cups chopped pecans
- Heat oven to 350* and grease a jelly roll pan. Beat flour, sugar, butter and slat in a big bowl until crumbly. Press firmly into pan and bake until light brown, approximately 20 minutes.
- Prepare filling and pour and spread evenly over baked layer. Bake until filling is set, about 25 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
