Ingredients

  • 1 quart pickling cucumbers, sliced

  • 1 onion, sliced thin

  • 1 cup vinegar

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1/4 teaspoon alum (scant)

  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric

  • 1 teaspoon mustard seed

  • 1 teaspoon celery seed

Directions

  • Slice cucumbers and onions and sprinkle with salt. Let stand one hours.
  • Heat thru just until boiling remaining ingredients. Pour over cucumbers and onion. Mix well and place into jars.
