1 quart pickling cucumbers, sliced
1 onion, sliced thin
1 cup vinegar
1 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon alum (scant)
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon mustard seed
1 teaspoon celery seed
- Slice cucumbers and onions and sprinkle with salt. Let stand one hours.
- Heat thru just until boiling remaining ingredients. Pour over cucumbers and onion. Mix well and place into jars.
