Four sheets of puffed pastry dough
Graham cracker crumbs
3 -4 Granny Smith or Pink Lady apples (per each sheet of pastry)
- Place all dough on a damp cloth and cover with a damp cloth.
- Brush one sheet of pastry dough with melted butter and sprinkle with graham cracker crumbs. Do the same with the next three sheets.
- Peel, core and slice about three medium apples for each strudel. Place sliced apples on one end of dough. Sprinkle with 2 Tablespoons of sugar, cinnamon to taste and chopped nuts. Roll loosely in jelly roll fashion using cloth to roll and guide the dough. Place on baking sheet with seam down. Brush with more melted butter. Repeat for remaining three sheets.
- Bake at 375* for 45-55 minutes or until deep golden brown.
