1 to 1 1/2 quarts fresh strawberries
2 Tablespoons Strawberry Jello
1 cup sugar
3 Tablespoons corn starch
2 Tablespoons white Karo Syrup
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 drops of food coloring (if desired)
1-9″ prepared pie shell
- Sprinkle jello over strawberries and set aside.
- Combine sugar, corn starch, syrup, water and salt and boil until clear. Add food coloring and mix.
- Place layer of berries in pie shell, then add syrup, then berries and syrup until all is used. Chill for several hours.
